Herbal teas are suitable for everybody?

Some active ingredients contained in some herbs may have some contraindications for pregnant women or for those suffering from specific diseases.


  • Fucus

Contraindicated for people who have thyroid problems

  • Laxatives

Aggressive laxatives such as Senna and Rhubarb are contraindicated during pregnancy, while light laxatives such as hypericum and coal are highly recommended: Also contraindicated for those who are taking oral contraceptive.

  • Licorice

Contraindicated for people who have high blood pressure problems, pressure swings or tachycardia.

  • Draining

Contraindicated for those who suffer from low blood pressure.

  • Natural energy mix and products with ginseng and guarana

Contraindicated for people with cardiovascular diseases or tend to have a tachycardia

  • Green tea

It contains caffeine (quantity comparable to a half cup of coffee), contraindicated for those who shouldn’t take it.
